We had used a new software called adobe bridge. We researched into what it does and what information we can find out from this. I found out that there is a metadata from every single picture taken on a camera. We can find out what day the picture was taken, what lens was used. I also learnt and found out lot of short keys to do things quicker. I found out using control 1-5 can give a star to a picture. This allows you to go through the pictures quickly and see what pictures and good quality and which ones are not.

These are the metadata which we can find out from a picture. These can be from the date the picture was taken from if the flash was fired when the picture was taken.

For my high key pictures, we had used a sequence of lighting positions to see which ones are the best. We started to put one light on the left and 2 on the right but than as a pair we choose to change the lighting position and chose to put two lights on the left and one in the right. With the model facing towards the right.

For our silhouette we decided to put the light behind the model. This was the best way we could do it as the other ways we tested out wasn’t working correctly as the model was getting lit up. So, we decided to put 2 lights on. One was behind the model and the second one was facing the top of the backdrop.

For the broad light we used 3 lights, but we had them all facing the way we wanted the model to be lit up. This was because the room was too dark, and we weren’t able to get enough light on them, so we put all 3 lights on. The light closest and furthest away from the camera was on 100%. The one which was in the middle only had 60% on as we needed more of the front face to be brighten.

The lowkey lighting was done by using all 3 lights. But this one was tricky in the sense of making sure your light stays low enough but not too low so you can’t see the model. We effectively using all 3 lights but 2 had to be on very dim and the other light was used all the main light. This light was on 100% power and was straight at the person on the side which had to be lit.
